Enrollment in accelerated or online coursework
To be eligible for study in accelerated or online coursework, applicants must:
- Meet all general admission requirements, including the basic skills evaluation.
- Own or have off-site access to a PC or laptop computer that meets location- or program-based requirements, including Internet access.
Applicants may be required to interview with an academic administrator or attend a specialized orientation in advance of starting classes to ensure that the accelerated or online format is appropriate.
Clinical Laboratory Science Program
Applicants to the Clinical Laboratory Science program must have successfully completed one year each of high school biology and chemistry, and have a minimum ACT score of 21, or minimum SAT scores of 545 (Math) and 515 (Verbal/ Critical Reading).
Applicants wishing to transfer to DeVry may be admitted if they have completed a college biology course as well as a college chemistry course with lab with grades of B or better from a DeVry-approved college or university, or have completed an associate degree in the natural sciences or a clinical laboratory technician program.
In addition, prospective students must complete an application and interview with a CLS admissions advisor. When all admission requirements are fulfilled, applicants are notified in writing of their admission status.
NOTE: Because clinical slots are limited, the number of applicants admitted may be limited. Should the number of applicants exceed the number of clinical positions available, admission will be determined based on applicants' admissions test scores as well as a point system whereby other factors such as community service, prior work experience in a clinical setting, extracurricular activities and professional references are used to further evaluate applications and to determine admissibility.
