Frequently asked questions

Can you get a bachelor's degree online?

Yes! You can earn a bachelor's degree 100% online here at DeVry, helping you fit your education into your busy life in a way that works for you. Plus, you’ll have access to everything you need to complete your assignments, like 24/7 virtual tutoring, an extensive e-library, digital textbooks, advisor support, and more.

What is a bachelor's degree?

A bachelor's degree is an undergraduate credential from a university or college that provides in-depth knowledge of a specific field, often with hands-on experience using industry tools and technology.

While general education courses in subjects like math and English are included, most of your coursework focuses on your chosen field of study. Bachelor’s programs can also help you open doors to advanced career opportunities and will teach you valuable workplace skills like critical thinking, research, problem-solving, and collaboration.

What is the difference between an associate degree and a bachelor's degree?

An associate degree provides foundational knowledge on a subject and can typically be completed in less time than a bachelor’s, which offers a more in-depth exploration of a subject and therefore takes longer to earn.

Typically, an associate degree can help you pursue entry-level roles, and a bachelor’s teaches you advanced skills to help you get ready to look for higher-level positions.

How long does it take to get a bachelor's degree?

Traditionally, a bachelor’s degree takes 4 years to complete. Here at DeVry, you may be able to earn a bachelor’s degree in as little as 2 years and 8 months when you choose an accelerated schedule.5 You might even be able to earn your degree sooner with qualifying transfer credits.
