2 General Grant Policies
Recipients are responsible for all other educational expenses.
Only degree-seeking students eligible for grant funds.
Must be a United States citizen, Canadian citizen or reside within the United States. International students studying on a visa not eligible unless specified in specific award criteria.
Grant applications must be received prior to the start of classes to be eligible. Award recipients who do not start in their intended term specified on admissions application will have one subsequent term to start classes and utilize award. Receipts who do not start within two terms will have their award expired and will have to reapply for available offerings at time of actual enrollment.
Grant recipients are expected to meet certain continuing eligibility criteria and progress in a timely manner toward completing their programs. To retain grant eligibility, recipients must remain in good academic standing and meet additional conditions outlined in the terms and conditions document sent to award recipients.
To qualify for grant funds, students must maintain continuous enrollment on a semester basis. Students may only be under enrolled or take only one semester off during their enrollment to remain eligible for funds.
Students eligible for multiple group tuition rates, pricing programs, or grants will receive the one most beneficial.
Recipients must acknowledge receipt of the terms and conditions document pertaining to their specific grant award. Disbursement of funds may be withheld until receipt of this document is acknowledged in writing and returned by recipients.
3 The DeVry University Opportunity Grant will be available in the 2019-2020 school year (July 2019 – May 2020) to new and readmit students who meet merit and need-based qualifications. Subject to approval, use requirements, program level and availability of funds. Specific eligibility criteria applies. This grant cannot be used in combination with any other offer or award or group-specific tuition rate.
