Newt Walpert is the former senior vice president and general manager of U.S. Sales for HP Inc. In this role, he was responsible for the go-to market strategy, sales and support resources and the financial performance of the $7 billion personal systems, print and services business.
With more than 30 years at HP, Walpert has held various leadership positions in the U.S., Singapore and Canada. Most recently, he was the senior vice president and general manager of HP Americas Printing and Supplies where he managed the P&L for printers, supplies and services within the region. He was accountable for all aspects of the Americas print business, from sales and marketing to product management. Previously, he was the general manager of HP's Asia Pacific marketing center where he and his Singapore-based team were responsible for all aspects of the center’s go-to market marketing strategy, including brand management, product design, pricing and distribution strategies for HP’s printer business.
Walpert serves on DeVry University’s Board of Trustees and is a former trustee of the American Kidney Fund. A native of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, he earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance from Concordia University in Montreal.
